July Awareness

July Awareness

July celebrates disability pride and summer safety. Here is what we're spreading awareness about this month.

  • Disability Pride Month: Celebrating disabled people, their identity, and their contributions, and marking the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), signed July 26, 1990.
  • Juvenile Arthritis Awareness Month: Arthritis isn't just for adults. Many children live with it every day.
  • UV Safety Month: Protect little ones' skin and eyes with shade, sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses.
  • Sarcoma Awareness Month: Raising awareness of sarcomas, rare cancers of the bones and soft tissues that can affect children and adults.
  • Cord Blood Awareness Month: Learning how umbilical cord blood donation can help treat serious illnesses.
  • Group B Strep Awareness Month: Helping expectant parents learn about Group B strep testing to protect newborns.

Proud, protected, and included.
