📱 The 4C Voice App

A free talking communication board for iPads, tablets, and phones.

Tap a picture and the app speaks out loud. Start on the colorful Main Page, then tap a folder like Sensory, Play, Places, or Routine to find more words. Add your own photos and words, like Grandma, the family dog, a favorite show, or a favorite snack. It's completely free and made with love by 4C Sensory Center.

📲 Put the App on Your Home Screen

Add the app to your home screen and this 4C Voice App icon will appear right next to your other apps. Tap it anytime to open the talking board full screen.

On an iPad or iPhone (Safari):

  1. Open this page in Safari and tap the 4C Voice App logo at the top to open the app.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.
  4. The 4C Voice App icon now lives on your home screen. Tap it to open the app full screen.

On an Android phone or tablet (Chrome):

  1. Open this page in Chrome and tap the 4C Voice App logo at the top to open the app.
  2. Tap the ⋮ menu in the top corner.
  3. Tap Add to Home screen (or Install app), then tap Add.

✨ What's Inside

  • Main Page with everyday words (yes, no, help, more, open, close, please, thank you, go, my turn, I got it, all done) and color-coded folders.
  • 18 folders with over 400 pictures: Safety, I Need, Potty, Feelings, Quick Regulation, Sensory, Lights, Sound, Ouch / I Feel Sick, My Favorites, Learning, Play, People, Places, TV Shows, iPad, Routine, and Social.
  • Main Page and Back buttons on every board, plus a core word bar along the bottom so the most important words are always one tap away.
  • First / Then board inside Routine, with 28 daily routine pictures.
  • ➕ Add a button to any folder: take a photo or pick one from your device, type the word, and choose what it says out loud.
  • Voice choice: pick a child, woman, or man voice and set the speed.
  • Border styles: Rainbow, Zebra, Leopard, Denim, Green, or Classic, the same borders as our free printable boards.

Open settings anytime with the ⚙️ button in the top corner of the app.

🔒 Private by design: your photos and words are saved only on your own device. Nothing is uploaded or shared.

📶 The app needs an internet connection to load the pictures. Voices come from your device, so they sound a little different on iPad, Android, and computers.
